No stopping Sailesh and Sahila

Sailesh Rana bagged five gold medals on the first day of the First NAS National Open and Age group Swimming Championship on Sunday.
Sailesh, who has already been selected for the Asian Games, won a medal each in the all the six events he competed, out of which five were gold and one was silver.
He won his first gold in 200m free style, and added a gold each in the 100m butterfly, 200m individual medley and 100m back stroke. For 200m gold, he completed the race in 2.28.38 mins. Dilip Thapa Magar of Nepal Army finished second with 2.36.09 mins while third placed Pravesh Adhikari clocked 2.36.96 mins.
In the 100m butterfly, Sailesh won the race with 1.11.54 mins ahead of Bhim Bahadur K.C. (1.17.24 mins) and Banin Sahensha Shrestha (1.18.93 mins). The 400m free style, his third gold of the day, saw him finish the race in 5.15.94 mins. Pravesh Adhikari and Sirish Gurung were second and third respectively. For the fourth gold, which came in the 200m individual, Sailesh recorded 2.49.84 mins ahead of Banin and Sirish, while in the 100m backstroke he clocked 1.14.22 mins.
His only silver out of the six events was in 100m backstroke. Pushpa won the gold in the event with 1.15.03 mins leaving Sailesh behind by four seconds.
While Sailesh dominated the men’s event, his elder sibling Sahila Rana left a mark in the women’s event winning three gold and two silver medals in the five events she competed in. Like her brother, Sahila has also been selected for the Asian Games.
The events she won gold were in 200m freestyle with 2.39.96 mins; 100m backstroke with 1.22.31 mins and 200m individual medley with 3.03.03 mins. Sahila settled for silver in the 100m butterfly, giving the lead to Oshin Bharati, who clocked 1.22.09 mins. The other gold she had to give in was in 100m backstroke. Oshin was again her competitor.
