Gold price climbs the ladder again
KATHMANDU, AUG 07 -
The price of gold increased by Rs. 290 per 10 grams last week in the Nepali market with the yellow-metal being traded at Rs. 3000 per 10 grams on Friday from Rs. 29,710 on Sunday.
Although the precious metal’s price declined to Rs. 29,620 on Tuesday, it started to grow in the following days of the week with Rs. 29,900 on Wednesday. It further went up to Rs. 30,000 on Thursday and Friday.
The fluctuation in the price in the international market led to a similar situation in the domestic gold market. The precious metal’s price rose by US$ 13 per 10 grams from US $ 1,182 on Sunday to US $ 1,195 on Friday. Silver also registered a rise in it’s price by Rs. 6 per 10 grams. On Sunday, the price of silver which was Rs. 478 per 10 grams went through ups and downs before settling at Rs. 484 on Friday. The price of silver reached the highest point on Wednesday and Thursday with the trading of the white metal at Rs. 485 per 10 grams.
