Looters rob Rs 3m

KATHMANDU, JUL 20 -
It was a day that would forever haunt the Karki, Mukhiya, Sharma, Aryal and Tharu families. They had a nightmarish experience when an unidentified looters robbers broke into their home on Tuesday and strapped both of the give houses of whatever cash and jewellery it had worth over Rs. 3 million.   

Seven robbers barged into Maiya Karki’s house at Ichangunarayan in the Capital in the wee hours of Tuesday, took his family members under their control and decamped with cash and valuable worth over Rs. 1.1 million, police said Similarly, a gang of another robbers also made off with valuables and money worth Rs. 895,000 from the house of Dr. Mukesh Mukhiya at Khadkagaon in Lalitpur.

In separate incidents, looters broke into the houses of Hari Dev Sharma at Jorpati, Prabal Kumar Aryal in Battisputali and Laxmi Tharu at Dallu and took away valuables and money worth over Rs. 1 million.
