Janamorcha ‘splits’
KATHMANDU, JUL 16 -
The Rastriya Janmorcha Party (RJP) split on Friday under the party’s General Secretary Dila Ram Acharya.
The new faction organised a convention in the Capital on Friday. The dissident faction has announced the expulsion of party chairman Chitra Bahadur KC and has entrusted Acharya to work as the party’s General Secretary. The Acharya-led faction has claimed that representatives from 21 districts attended the convention. Meanwhile, RJP Chairman KC said the party had not split but that “some anarchists” had left the party. He said Acharya was all set to join the UCPN (Maoist) party.
