Kantipur Television to beam in US

KATHMANDU, JUL 13 -
Kantipur Television (KTV) Managing Director Kailash Sirohiya on Tuesday said KTV was planning to broadcast  its programmes in the United States.

Addressing a programme organised to mark the seventh anniversary of KTV on the premises of the Kantipur Publications in Tinkune, Sirohiya said the KTV was effortful to widen its broadcast range. “We aim to make our signal available in every part of the world,” he added.

He said the television network had been modifying its programmes and news service with time. “KTV will tailor its programmes to suit the viewers’ desire and for their benefit,” said Sirohiya. “KTV has always been playing the role of a watchdog and we will give continuity to it.”

Stating that KTV news will go beyond speeches and accidents, the managing director added, “KTV will focus on turning its news investigative rather than confining itself to speeches and incidents. It will also try and cover the activities of its footprint.”

At the function, best KTV employee and the winner team of the in-house friendly football tournament were awarded with certificates and prizes.
