NEPSE up by 3.03 pts
KATHMANDU, JUL 13 -
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) registered a gain for the second consecutive day rising 3.03 points to settle at 464.65 points on Tuesday.
An increase in the sub-indices of hydropower companies, commercial banks and development banks lifted the secondary market. Hydropower companies led the gainers with a growth of 24.81 points followed by commercial banks and development banks posting gains of 3.87 points and 2.71 points respectively.
The double-digit leap in the index of hydropower companies was propelled by an increase of Rs. 73 per share of Chilime Hydropower Company.
Meanwhile, insurance companies and finance companies lost 1.4 points and 0.81 point respectively. Share prices of 20 companies went up, 23 companies fell and 13 companies saw no change in their share prices. Among the 56 companies present on the trading floor, Prime Life Insurance Company posted the highest gain of Rs. 270 per share while Everest Bank preference shares suffered the most, shedding Rs. 30 per share.
