4 dead, 33 hurt in bus accident

BAJHANG, JUL 11 -
A passenger bus skidded off the road and fell some 200 metres down at Asigram VDC-3 in Dadeldhura on Saturday night, killing four people and injuring 33 others.

The ill-fated vehicle (Na 3 Kha 5550) was heading to Dhangadhi of Kailali from Tamel of Bajhang.

Akkal Thapa and Dhan Bahadur Rawal of Bajhang as well as Nara Bahadur Chand of Baitadi were killed in the accident, police said. The identity of another deceased is yet to be ascertained.

According to District Police Office Dadeldhura, four of the critically injured passengers were rushed to Nepalgunj while the others are undergoing treatment at Dadeldhura-based TEAM Hospital. 

Police and locals reached the incident site, about 23 kilometres away from Dadeldhura district headquarters, soon after the mishap and rescued the injured passengers.
