NEPSE down 1.8pt

KATHMANDU, JUL 08 -
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) dipped on Thursday with the benchmark index settling at 460.07 points with a loss of 1.8 points when the market closed for the day. The others group led the losers with a 3.53 point drop followed by commercial banks, development banks and finance companies with losses of 1.5 points, 1.35 points and 0.68 point respectively.

A rise in the hydropower, hotel and insurance sub-indices failed to pull NEPSE out of its dive. The hydropower group led the winners with a gain of 20.92 points followed by hotels and insurance companies posting gains of 3.48 points and 0.83 point respectively. Among the 74 companies present on the trading floor, share prices of 37 companies went down, 28 companies witnessed a price rise and share prices of nine companies remained constant.

Bishal Bazaar Company topped the chart in terms of rise in share prices with a gain of Rs. 62 per share.
