Worker-friendly budget

POST REPORT

KATHMANDU, JUL 07 -
Economic experts and trade union leaders on Wednesday said that the forthcoming budget should address the issues of workers and guarantee a decent standard of living to them. Addressing an interaction programme organised by the CLASS-NEPAL, former finance minister Ram Saran Mahat said that enhancement of the condition of labourers cannot be possible without development of the industrial sector.

Ganesh Niraula, vice president of the NTUC, said the forthcoming budget should be motivated towards boosting the economic status of workers. Umesh Upadhyay, secretary general of GEFONT, urged the government to prepare the budget from the labour perspective.
