BAGLUNG, JUL 01 -
Threats issued by Samyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha (SJMM) forced VDC secretaries of Baglung district to quit en masse on Thursday.

The VDC secretaries had received a letter from the SJMM on Wednesday with an ultimatum to resign immediately or brace for severe consequences. Terror-stricken VDC secretaries tendered their joint resignation with the Local Development Officer in Baglung.  

VDC secretaries in many districts, including Dhading, Banke, Sankhuwasabha and Kavre, had resigned owing to threats from the SJMM in the recent past.
