Curb violence, NHRC tells govt
KATHMANDU, JUN 28 -
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government and political parties to take measures to maintain law and order.
According to a press statement issued by the NHRC on Monday, there has been a marked increase in acts of violence in the country in the past three weeks.
Instances of impunity have also gone up with frequent cases of kidnapping, murder, extortion and attacks, the statement said.
The NHRC flayed the government for not being able to punish any of the culprits involved in human rights violations.
