NEPSE settles at 467.6pts
KATHMANDU, JUN 23 -
The first four days of trading this week saw the capital market fluctuating with the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recording a fall of 2.8 points on Wednesday against a rise of 1.79 points on Tuesday.
On Monday, the market had come down by 6.38 points while it had risen by 0.36 point on Sunday. The NEPSE index declined to 467.6 points when the market closed for the day.
Of the 76 companies present on the trading floor, share prices of 20 companies went up while 41 witnessed a fall. The hydropower group led the losers with a drop of 4.57 points followed by the others, development bank and commercial bank groups with losses of 3.53 points, 2.9 points and 2.82 points respectively.
Similarly, insurance companies, finance companies and hotels shed 2.53 points, 2.13 points and 1.14 points respectively. Trading companies did not see any change in their sub-index.
NMB Bank increased by Rs. 150 per share to top the group. Standard Chartered Bank and Nabil Bank lost Rs. 75 and Rs. 19 per share respectively.
