Diarrhoea cases up

With the mercury rising, the number of people suffering from diarrhoea and fever has increased in recent days.
Dr. Dambar Khadka, at the Regional Hospital, Surkhet, said diarrhoea and fever patients from Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot and Kalikot districts are coming to the hospital. We receive a daily flow of 100 to 150 patients, he said.
Though the number of patients is increasing the hospital is unable to provide adequate services due to lack of facilities and doctors.
Meanwhile, 30 women underwent operation for uterine prolapse at an obstetrics health camp in Birendranagar, Surkhet.The camp was organised by Sushma Koirala Memorial Trust, Nepalgunj, with the cooperation of Midwest Region Health Directorate, Surkhet.
