PM Thapa issues directives to secretaries
KATHMANDU, JAN 21 - Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa today issued a five-point directive to the government secretaries urging them to move ahead with periodic working plans.
Speaking at the ministerial meeting on ‘Re-evaluation of Prioritised Development Project’, at the PM’s office today, PM Thapa also expressed dissatisfaction over the progress reports of Development Projects, a government source said.
The directives say that project chiefs and secretaries at concerned ministries would be held responsible if annual targets are not met. They would be responsible for timely collection of foreign aid installments, timely submission of progress reports and should work in coordination with the vice chairman of the National Planning Commission for resolving problems.
The directives also makes them responsible for fulfilling the government conditions concerning foreign aided projects on time and making employee appraisal system in coordinatino with the concerned projects, according to the source.Posted on: 2004-01-22 04:10
