Students on fund raising drive

KATHMANDU, JAN 18 - The alliance of seven student organisations is set to collect donations from people on the streets tomorrow as part of their on-going protest against the Monarchy.
Talking to The Kathmandu Post, Gagan Thapa, general secretary of the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), said the decision was taken at a meeting of the seven student organisations.
"Many of our colleagues who have been injured in clashes with the police during the demonstrations need treatment. For this, we are collecting money from the people," said Thapa.
Students are to gather at Ratna Park tomorrow afternoon to collect donations.Posted on: 2004-01-19 04:21
