Bahrain joins Nepal in U-17 Super League
KATHMANDU, JAN 18 - Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and surprisingly Saudi Arabia have entered the second round of the Under-17 Asia Cup to join the Test nations along with Nepal.
UAE defeated Oman by 40 runs in the last league match to top Group B on better run rate after they tied on points with Oman and Afghanistan.
From Group D, debutante Saudi Arabia, who was given ICC’s affiliate membership in 2003, surprised with three wins in as many matches to join Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and UAE in Group B.
Similarly, Baharain outplayed Singapore by 39 runs in their do-or-die tie to join Nepal, India and Pakistan Super League’s Group A.Posted on: 2004-01-19 03:51
