Singh forms a new NOC ad-hoc committee

KATHMANDU, JAN 16 - The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) has been registered in the Nepal Sports Council (NSC) and a 33-member Ad Hoc committee has been formed under the leadership of president of Nepal Taekwondo Association Kishore Bahadur Singh under the sports development act 2048, clause 15 (1).
According to a press release received here today, Singh had registered an application for the registration of the committee in the NSC as per the sports development act 2048, clause14 (1 and 2). Singh, who is also the member secretary of NSC, was given the authority and direction to register the NOC and form the Ad-hoc Committee by a meeting of the representatives of respective National Associations of Olympic sports. Manoj Kumar Rai, Druba Timilsina, Siddheswor Kumar Singh, and Manoj Rana are the vice-presidents Madhu Shamser Rana is the general secretary, Lok Bahadur Shah the treasurer and Deepraj Gurung the joint secretary of the ad hoc committee. Of the remaining members, 13 representatives of National Sports Associations, eight are players and four are businessmen or industrialists.Posted on: 2004-01-17 03:46
