KATHMANDU, JAN 15 - The 37th annual general meeting of Salt Trading Corporation, (STC) held here today has decided to provide 20 per cent bonus share to its shareholders from its total profit made during the year that ended in mid-December.
Presenting report on the occasion, Kamal Mani Dixit, Chairman of Managing Committee of the STC said that at a time when the economic activities have been dwindling due to the domestic violence, the Corporation has been able to record a rise in its business transaction.
"As part of its policy to partner and alliance with government corporations, it is planning to work together with Nepal Food Corporation to trade the wheat, rice and paddy," he added.
According to him, business transaction of the STC surged by 97.47 during the year that ended in mid-December to touch Rs 1.56 billion as compared to the transaction of Rs 790 million last year.Posted on: 2004-01-16 03:12
