Chepang permanent teacher in Makawanpur

HETAUDA, JAN 14 - Surya Bahadur Praja, 30 of Bangdirang in Raksirang VDC-8 has become the first permanent government teacher from the Praja, an ethnic community in Makwanpur district. After passing the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination, Praja had been teaching at the Praja Jagriti Primary School in Chainpur area for the last six years.
He became a permanent government teacher after passing written and oral tests by the Teachers’ Service Commission in 1995.
Of seven candidates from the Chepang community, Praja is the only person to have passed the examination. Only two persons have passed the SLC from Chepang community.Posted on: 2004-01-15 03:59
