KATHMANDU, JAN 13 - Kathmandu District Court today gave clean chit to the Kantipur Publications in a libel case filed against it.
Judge Kedar Chalise pronounced the verdict on the case filed by Suresh Bahadur Malla, former chairman of the Lumbini Bank and the owner of the Uma Maheswore Hardware on the basis of an investigative report published by Kantipur daily.
The daily had published the report on how Malla and the owner of the Uma Hardware took out loan from the bank mortgaging the land used by the Patan Appellate Court.
