KATHMANDU, JAN 12 - Two armed men assaulted Damakant Jayshi, News Coordinator of The Kathmandu Post while he was returning home from the office at 10:50 pm late Sunday evening.
According to Jayshi, a man trying to enter into somebody’s house stopped and hit him even as another person grabbed him. According to Jayshi, one of them was carrying a light machine gun."The man with the gun was very aggressive and hit me with the butt of the gun. Both of them were drunk and were claiming that they were there for the security of the people," Jayshi said. Jayshi has received a deep cut above his right eye.
The incident took place at Basuki Nagar Marg, Koteshwor, which is just about five minute walk from Kantipur Complex at Subidhanagar.
