NSP flays seven-point agenda

POST REPORT

KATHMANDU, JAN 12 - The Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP) today said that the seven-point agenda of the king
has added to the regression going back to October 4, 2002, even as it lamented that the king did not call its leader for a meeting.
This comes at the end of the two-day long central committee meeting.
"What we are of the view is the seven-point agenda has undermined the 18-point agenda drawn up by the five-party alliance in a strange way," General Secretary Rajendra Mahato said.
Other decisions of the party include that king is not a centre of unity and that he must further evolve himself to deserve the tag.
Commenting on the government move to introduce reservation for the benefit of certain sections of society, the party has demand that Madeshis be given 50 per cent reservation in various services.
Other demands of the party include that the government should issue a postal stamp figuring party’s founder leader Gajendra Narayan Singh and that Rajbiraj road be named after him even as it has demanded that Rajbiraj municipality be named after the deceased leader whose second death anniversary is being observed in a fortnight.Posted on: 2004-01-13 03:59
