S Asian document ~ ~ ry film festival in Butwal
BUTWAL, JAN 10 - The South Asian document ~ ~ ry Films Festival, 2004, gets underway at Butwal tomorrow.
Seventeen outstanding document ~ ~ ry films of Asia will be screened at the festival being organised by Computer Association of Nepal, Lumbini.
Giving this information at a press conference hosted by the association here today, its second vice-president, Gehendra Acharya, said that this was the first time that such an festival was being held in Butwal. The festival will narrate stories based on facts of various countries of South Asia to the public and also introduce the customs, culture, lifestyle, financial condition and various other aspects to the viewers.
document ~ ~ ry films such as "Made in India" in English, Hindi and Marathi languages directed by acclaimed director Madhu Shridutta, "A night of the prophecy" of Amar Kanwar in Hindi, "Resilient rhythm" in Hindi, Tamil and Kannad and "Tale of darkest night" in Bengali will be screened during the festival.
Likewise, "A bridge over troubled water" from Pakistan, the Anakanasas and "Bikas banduk ki nalme" in Hindi, and "Bhedako oon" in Nepali will also be screened during the festival to be held until January 12.Posted on: 2004-01-11 04:38
