MAHOTTARI, JAN 09 - The intensity of pneumonia accompanying the cold wave that struck many parts of the Terai region of the country has claimed two more lives in Jaleshwor yesterday.
According to information from the Emergency room of the Jaleshwor District Hospital, it is learnt that a five-day old child and a year-and-a-half year-old girl, Salikumari of Jaleshwor municipality-4, died due to pneumonia while on treatment yesterday night.
The sources at the hospital also informed of the sudden rise in the number of patients suffering from pneumonia, diarrhoea and chronic bronchitis, coming to this health centre from various rural parts of this district, including Jaleshwor, the district headquarters.Posted on: 2004-01-10 02:48
