KATHMANDU, JAN 06 - Rajdhani Daily and Metro FM entered the semifinals of the ongoing 3rd Tuborg Media Cup football tournament being held at the Dashrath Stadium.
Rajdhani came from behind to stun Himal Media 2-1 while Metro FM registered a thumping 3-1 victory over Nepal Samacharpatra. With the completion of the quarterfinals, the semifinal line-up is completed with Kantipur taking on Image Channel and Rajdhani facing off Metro FM on Tuesday.
Himal Media put Rajdhani on back foot when promising Dinesh Thakuri found the net in the 18th minute. Subash Subba rescued Rajdhani through a spectacular goal in the 24th minute bringing the match at level. Ramesh Khadka completed the job for Rajdhani firing home a late winner in the 64th minute.
In the second match of the day, Sundar Hamal, Suraj Joshi and Sunil Thapa found goal apiece to register Metro’s 3-1 win over Samacharpatra. Ujjwol Shrestha netted a consolation goal for the losers.Posted on: 2004-01-07 03:53
