KATHMANDU, JAN 06 - King Gyanendra today appointed Indra Kumar Shrestha, Lalit Kumar Limbu and Bed Prakash Siwakoti as the commissioners in the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
The Constitutional Council had recommended the names of the appointees on August 22. However, former secretary Sri Kanta Regmi’s name, though recommended, was later withdrawn.Shrestha is former chief at the Special Police Department, Limbu is former Additional Inspector General in the National Investigation Department and Siwakoti is a former member of the Judicial Committee of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
The recommendation of appointees for the Public Service Commission is yet to be made.Posted on: 2004-01-07 04:24
