Signature Swig Golf tourney today
KATHMANDU, JAN 03 - Seventy-four people are to gather at the Royal Nepal Golf Course on Saturday for a day of golf and fun as participants of the Second Signature Swig and Swing Golf Tournament 2004. The programme was first organised in December 2002 by Nepal Liquors Limited and Royal Nepal Golf Club (RNGC) on the occasion of the launch of McDowell’s Signature.
The most unique aspect of this particular tournament is that the golfers are required to drink a beverage (preferably 20Ml of McDowell’s Signature Whiskey) before they tee off at each hole in back nine. But for those who do not drink whiskey, another a glass of beer, soft drink or water will be provided. According to the General Sales Manager of Nepal Liquors Limited, the tournament is intended to be taken as a day to have fun along while competing at the same time. "This type of tournament also helps golfers to take the challenge as fun," he said.
The tournament, which will also feature four golfers in the super senior (70 years and above) category, 32 in the senior (50 to 69 years) and five women, will be played in the form of four ball - four people in each group.Posted on: 2004-01-04 04:38
