U-17 team finalised
KATHMANDU, JAN 03 - Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) today announced the 14-member under-17 national side under Paras Khadka’s captaincy to represent the country in the upcoming U-17 Asia Cup to be held in India during January 13-27.
Sarad Vesawakar has been named the vice-captain of the squad. Ravi Thapa, Amit Alok, Susanman Shrestha and Nasir Ansari have not been included in the squad. The other members of the squad are Raj Shrestha, Mahesh Chhettri, Bantu Bataju, Deepak Shrestha, Irfan Siddique, Diwas Thakuri, Amrit Pokherel, Dhan Bahadur Chhettri, Pawas Das, Sunil Bista, Angel Acharya and Antim Thapa.
Amrit Shamsher Thapa has been appointed manager while LB Chhettri will be his deputy. Roy Dias is the coach of the team with Samsan Jung Thapa to assist him. Umpire Sirish Kumar Upadhyay will too tour with the team to officiate matches.Posted on: 2004-01-04 04:37
