KATHMANDU, JAN 01 - The Special Court today ordered the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to detain Senior Superintendent of Police Basanta Raj Kunwar, who is in suspension now, till his deposition to the government prosecutors ends. His deposition began here in the court today.
The court issued the order as SSP Kunwar presented himself in person before the court today to submit his deposition to the court in the corruption case filed against him by the CIAA. The constitutional anti-graft watchdog has accused SSP Kunwar of amassing Rs 8.4 million.
