Preserve achievements of 1990: Koirala
KATHMANDU, DEC 31 - Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala has appealed to all to realise the norms, spirit and message of the national reconciliation and move ahead to preserve the achievement of the historical movement of 1990.
Issuing a press statement on the occasion of the National Reconciliation Day today, Koirala urged everybody to think over the measures to give a way out to the nation already battered by violence. He has also said that it is essential to strive for maximum utilisation of democracy and human rights.
The first elected Prime Minister late B P Koirala and his colleague late Ganesh Man Singh had returned from India to the country with the proposal of national reconciliation on December 30, 1976.
