Talks on garbage problem in Bharatpur
BHARATPUR, DEC 30 - Participants of an interaction held here yesterday expressed worries about the increasing problem of garbage management in Bharatpur Municipality along with the growing population and urbanisation.
Speaking at the interaction on ‘Garbage management challenges’ held by Media Consultancy, Bharatpur, the participants pointed out the need of seeking appropriate ways of managing the garbage in the municipality.
Chitwan DDC chairman, Bishnu Wagle, said that attempts should be made in time for promoting awareness among the residents and measures adopted to control the growing pollution. CDO Janardan Sharma Paudyal said that the increasing pollution and urbanisation has affected the nearby Narayani river too.
Bio-medical engineer of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Prakash Pande, presented a work-report on the occasion.
