Protracted construction hampers ambulance

POST REPORT

PALPA, DEC 29 - The road from Tansen bus-park to Mission Hospital in Palpa district has been disrupted for the past four days causing great inconvenience to patients and travellers.
Transportation had been disrupted due to the digging undertaken by the Tansen Municipality for the laying of sewerage pipes.
This has affected ambulances plying along the road, according to local residents.
Though the work on the road started with a plan to complete it within a day and a night period, it is being protracted due to some technical reasons, according to Manikumar Gyanwali, the Secretary at the municipality.
The protracted construction work along the road has also severely affected the entrepreneurs of the jeeps plying on the road, according to Kiran Chitrakar, a jeep entrepreneur.Posted on: 2003-12-30 04:52
