TU teachers continue protest

KATHMANDU, DEC 29 - The statement issued by the Tribhuvan University Part Time Teachers Association (TUPTA) here today said that news carried yesterday by various media regarding the double increment on the remuneration of part-time teachers of TU in response to their protest was not true but a rumour.
Statement also stated that teachers would continue their protest until all part-time teachers of Part Time College get contracts. It also informed that TU has decided to provide contracts only to those who taught regularly for three academic years. The protest by TUPTA since the last 10 months, for its three-point demand continued with its 66th day sit-in programme at the TU Vice-Chancellor’s office today stated the statement.Posted on: 2003-12-30 04:47
