Stakeholders concerned over Karnali’s future

KATHMANDU, DEC 29 - Stakeholders have raised concerns over the future of Karnali zone since the schools in the region are closing down to the pressure from the All Nepal National Students Union (Revolutionary).
The schools in the region started closing down as the ANNSU-(R) students pressurised the schools to follow their academic calendar, according to speakers at a programme on the ‘Degrading Situation of Education in the Karnali Region’ organised in the valley today.The statistics made available in the programme said that the pressure from the revolutionary students has affected altogether two thousand four hundred and 71 students, and 140 students in the Mugu district alone.Posted on: 2003-12-30 04:42
