Human resources for socio-economic prosperity
KATHMANDU, DEC 28 - Participants of a seminar have stressed the need to pay attention in the human resources development for the social and economic development of the country.
Speaking at a seminar on "Strengthening Nepal-Korea Relation : Human Resources Development Perspective" organised here yesterday, the participants said priority to the human resources development helps forward the pace of economic and social development of the country.
The seminar was organised by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korea Alumni Association of Nepal (KAAN). Vice-chairman of the Poverty Alleviation Fund Dr Mohan Man Sainju said development of South Korea was possible due to the huge investment in human resources development and social sectors.
"The economic condition of the Republic of Korea was like that of Nepal until a few years ago but now it has become able to make remarkable economic progress and transform it as a developed country due to strong leadership and commitment to the development", he said.
