NSJF elects new exe committee

POST REPORT

KATHMANDU, DEC 24 - The fourth General Assembly of Nepal Sports Journalists’ Forum (NSJF) today unanimously elected a 13-member new executive committee led by Nepal Samacharpatra’s Niranjan Rajbanshi.
Rajendra Gyawali of Kantipur has been elected vice-president while his colleague Himesh Bajracharya, Annapurna Post’s Hemanta Kafle and The Rising Nepal’s Narayan Upadhyay have been elected treasurer, general secretary and secretary respectively.
The Kathmandu Post’s Purushottam Kattel is a member along with Mahesh Acharya (The Himalayan Times), Dinesh Jung Shah (Rajdhani), Kapil Gyawali (Space Time), Aman Adhikari (Kantipur TV), Santosh Ojha (Radio Nepal), Srilochan Rajopadhyay (Himalaya Times) and Ajaya Phuyal (Nepal Samacharpatra).
Chief guest of the programme attended by 42 sports journalists, Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) chairman Tara Nath Dahal welcomed the new committee members and bade farewell to the outgoing president Mukunda Bogati, vice-president Mukunda Dahal and general secretary Suman Malla.
The closed-session of the assembly was observed by FNJ member Poshan KC, Nepal Press Union’s central general secretary Samir Jung Shah, South Asian Sports Journalist Association’s Chetan Pandey, senior sports journalist Shyam Chitrakar and All Nepal Football Association’s Lalit Krishna Shrestha.
Founder president of NSJF Sitaram Agrahari along with Mukunda Bogati, Mukunda Dahal and Suman Malla were named advisors while the first meeting of new executive committee formed four sub-committees co-ordinated by Binod Pandey (membership distribution), Navin Aryal (discipline), Himesh Bajracharya (fund collection) and Ujjwol Acharya (foreign relations).Posted on: 2003-12-25 04:54
