NHRC concern over security

POST REPORT

KATHMANDU, FEB 08 -
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has drawn the government’s attention towards what it calls “the worsening security situation” in the Capital and other parts of the country. In a statement on Monday,  NHRC said its reports on recent abductions and murders across the country, including Kathmandu, indicated that people have not been able to lead peaceful and secure lives.

“We urge the government to improve the security situation in the country and guarantee people’s  right to live peacefully,” reads the NHRC statement. (PR)
