KATHMANDU, DEC 23 - Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) has denounced the beating of Rabin Prasad Thapaliya, a journalist affiliated with HBC Radio, by a police head constable recently while covering the ongoing students’ demonstrations. He was beaten by the butt of the gun to blue at Ratnapark.
FNJ, the umbrella organisation of Nepalese journalists, has demanded the government to take action against the wrong-doer head constable and provide support for the treatment of the victim, said a statement issued here today.Posted on: 2003-12-24 04:44
