Bandits loot cash and kind in Siraha
GAIGHAT, DEC 21 - A large group of bandits looted cash and kind worth over one million rupees from 15 houses in Inarwa VDC of Siraha district yesterday night. According to the police, most of the residents in the area are merchants. Around 50 to 60 bandits began looting at midnight from the house of Kanhaiya Bhatta, a teacher with the Lahan Campus.
Houses of Shankar Gupta, Ram Chandra Gupta, Raj Kumar Gupta, Tatlar Gupta, Malla Shah, Akabar Shah, Bhola Shah, Hridaya Narayan Yadav, Shankar Yadav, Pawan, Gupta, Shambhu Prasad Shah, Dev Narayan Yadav and Bijaya Gupta were looted in the incident. According to the victims, the robbers spoke in Nepali accents although the area is located near by the Indian border.
Meanwhile, our reports from Rajbiraj said that an unidentified group looted cash and valuables worth over hundreds thousand of rupees from the premises of two educational institutions in Rajbiraj, the headquarters of Saptari district, yesterday night.
The looters broke into Public Bindeshwori Secondary School and damaged nine cupboards. They also broke into Chhinamasta Technical Institute and looted goods from a shop at its premises.
