‘Roll back malaria’ campaign in Jhapa
BIRTAMOD, DEC 18 - People’s participation is to be used as a medium to control malaria after it was found that the communicable disease would not be controlled without public awareness.
The ‘Roll Back Malaria’ campaign has been initiated in various VDCs and municipality of Jhapa district with the participation and involvement of the people of the malaria-affected region.
An orientation training for teachers of Bahundangdi, Khudunabari, Jyamirgadi, Shantinagar VDCs and Mechinagar Municipality concluded here recently.
The orientation was organised with the objective of reaching health awareness on malaria to every doorstep of the people in the affected areas. The participating teachers are expected to share the information of malaria to their students as well as in their respective village.
Altogether 20 teachers took part in the programme organised jointly by the department of health service, epidemeology and disease control division and the District Public Health Office.Posted on: 2003-12-19 03:58
