Two Indian citizens arrested

POST REPORT

KATHMANDU, DEC 12 - Police today arrested two Indian citizens in connection with illegally selling goods worth Rs. 20 million in complicity with Sajha Bhandar, including Deputy General Manager Krishna Kumari Bhandari. Ashok Kumar Agrawal and Shiva Kumar Laath of Bhotebahal were arrested for the allegations. The duo, suppliers of goods for Sajha Bhandar, are alleged of having received the rights to supply goods to the Bhandar without a tender bid, and of selling goods procured at concession rates from Sajha Bhandar directly from their own stores. Superintendent of Police Rajendra Singh Bhandari, whose special police team cracked the case, said the two have been taken on remand for 10 days. Police are also preparing to file a formal case against them at the CIAA.Posted on: 2003-12-13 04:02
