RUKUM, DEC 12 - People in Rukum district walk for more than 3 days in order to make telephone call to their relatives living in other parts of the kingdom or foreign countries.
‘I could contact my son in Malaysia only after a four day’s struggle as it took three days to walk to the district headquarters and an additional day to stay on queue,’ said Hira Bahadur Pun of Ranmakot VDC-2.There is a single public telephone line in the district run by V-Sat system and people often have to stay on queues for getting their turns.
