Adhikary’s agrément already conveyed: India

KATHMANDU, DEC 11 - The Indian Embassy said that India has already communicated its agrément in respect of Karna Dhoj Adhikary, Nepal’s Ambassador-designate to India.Issuing a statement here today, the embassy said that the agrément for the appointment of Adhikary was formally conveyed to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on December 1, 2003.The statement added, "We look forward to warmly welcoming His Excellency in India and wish him every success in his new assignment."
The embassy also expressed concerns over the publication of ‘unverified’ and ‘baseless’ reports which claimed that India was yet to confirm the appointment.Posted on: 2003-12-12 05:21
