Socio-political stability must for FDI
KATHMANDU, DEC 10 - Political and social stability is foremost pre-requisite for any country to attract foreign investment, said Professor Dr Harry G Harris speaking at a talk programme today. He also added that Nepal currently lacks both of these feats and thus is having a hard time.
Dr Harris, President of Global Management Associates was speaking at a talk programme "Globalisation, Trade and World Terrorism; Challenges in the New Decade for Emerging Nations" organised by the Management Association of Nepal (MAN) today.
Speaking at the programme, Dr Harris said that Nepal could reap benefits of globalisation, mainly because of the comparative advantage on cost of service and production. "Nowadays, communication is very cheap and this does not matter where the business centre is opened," he said.Posted on: 2003-12-11 04:23
