KATHMANDU, JAN 14 -
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal stated on Thursday that the government would recognise the Kirat Yele Sambat, a lunar calendar used by the Kirat community. After accepting the memorandum handed over by the Coordination Committee for the Yale Sambat Study, Prime Minister Nepal stated that they the government would issue the calendar at all costs. The New Year for Kirat community begins on Jan. 15. According to the Kirat calendar, Yele Sambat 5070 will begin on Friday.
