BIRATNAGAR, DEC 02 - Small and Cottage Industry Office of Morang has initiated a three-month training for painting on cloth to the female inmates of the district jail.
The training is aimed at equipping the women with skills for self-reliance.
Each inmate will be provided a loan of Rs. 5000 after the completion of the project so that they could set up their own businesses.
The office is to market the products made by the inmates, according to Gopinath Ghimire, the chief at the office. 11 female inmates are taking part in the training.Posted on: 2003-12-01 10:56
