BHAIRAHAWA, DEC 02 - The weeklong off seasonal vegetable production training organised for leading farmers of the district concluded here on Sunday. Altogether 21 farmers from Lumbini and Marchawar area took part in the training organised jointly by the Literacy and Informal Education Project, Rupandehi, IDE Nepal and BDS Project, Rupandehi.
The Lumbini and Marchawar region are regarded as good places for off seasonal farming.
The participants of the training programme were familiarised with selection of off seasonal vegetables, seeds and nursery management. Lack of good off seasonal farming inside the country has led to a steady rise in import of off seasonal vegetable from neighbouring India.Posted on: 2003-12-01 11:01
