KATHMANDU, NOV 28 - Obilal Subedi, 85, from Gajul Village Development Committee of Rolpa district has appealed to human rights organisations for protection of his grandsons’ life and their immediate release.In his appeal addressed to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and other humanitarian organisations, Subedi said that whereabouts of his two grandsons—Pushkar Subedi and Komal Subedi—are still unknown ever since their arrest on September 4 from Kirtipur and Balkhu respectively.
"Two others arrested along with my grandsons have already been released," Subedi said in his appeal. "But the security forces still deny the arrest of my grandsons."
Subedi also said that he has received unconfirmed reports that both of his grandsons are in Jagdal barrack at Chhauni and are being deprived of meeting their relatives.Posted on: 2003-11-27 10:23
