Bus service resumes in Budhagaon of Rolpa
ROLPA, NOV 28 - Nigalpani of Budhagaon in western Rolpa has recently been connected by vehicular road. Passenger buses started plying the Kapurkot-Nigalpani road under the Agriculture Road taking passengers to remote Nigalpani in Budhagaon VDC, situated 22 Km away from the district headquarters adjoining the border of Salyan district.
Traffic along this 36-Km gravel road got underway with the effort of Rapti Zonal Transportation Entrepreneur Committee (RZTEC) since last week. Two years ago when a vehicle reached Nigalpani for the first time the locals had welcomed the
first batch of passengers with garlands.
After this gravel road became dilapidated, vehicular movement had come to a standstill, until with the effort from RZTEC the transportation resumed on the completion of repair and maintenance over this road. It is learnt that a passenger bus has been conducting its service along this route everyday charging a fare of Rs. 80 per person.Posted on: 2003-11-27 10:17
