Students protest absence of principal
BARA, NOV 27 - Students of Shree Secondary School have closed down their school to protest the absence of Devendra Giri, the principal of this school, for the past four months. As protest against the principal’s lackadaisical behaviour for not taking his responsibility seriously towards the dilapidated infrastructure of the school, the students are learnt to have resorted to such a measure.
The students of Shree Secondary School at Nagaul in Jeetpur of Bara district locked the school starting from yesterday. After closing down the school, the agonised students took to the streets marching from Jeetpur to Simara Bazaar. The half-yearly exam, which was scheduled to start from tomorrow, has come to a halt. Tara Karki, the chairman of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), informed that the school will remain closed until the students’ demand is met as well as the dilapidated infrastructure of the school is renovated. It is learnt that the window ~ ~ , doors, toilets, water system, sewage and many other infrastructure of the school are almost in ruins.
